MHO is very careful about the environment (no soap in the river, toilet procedures, burnable food waste etc) and does its bit to ensure the route remains clean, even to the point of hauling out other campers' garbage. Clearly MHO is actively lobbying the Ontario government to invest in park maintenance and make other improvements. It seems to be paying off with the appearance of an MNR crew that was cleaning up camp sites and portages when we were there. Very impressive....

An excellent facility and great staff. The main barn is set up excellently for courses and pack outs, and the food is amazing. Will definitely be doing more courses and re-certifications there in the future.

We all had an excellent time on the trip.  Claire and Arthur did a first rate job.  The river and length were just right for our family group.  It was honestly one of the best weeks I've ever had with my children and I hope it inspires them to a life of canoe tripping.  We are already talking about next year (Missinaibi?  Moose?) Feedback on the trip is almost entirely positive.  Food was excellent.  We appreciated the variety, complexity, and daily baking.  Good meals go a long way to keeping a crew happy and you guys nailed it.  Gear (except that my paddle was short) was all first rate.  Guides were top notch.  Logistics smooth....

Wonderful guides: Joey and Anna. Continuous swifts and Class 1 - 3 from Bonaventure Lake to Chaleur Bay were lots of fun.  Unbelievably clear water!  Thoroughly enjoyed getting to know fellow paddlers from Canada and the US, and being able to take along my 7-year old grandson.  Equipment was first class.  Meals were excellent.  Weather cooperated.  Thank you MHO for my 6th trip since 2010.  Will be back for more another summer....
