By popular demand, we are returning to Quebec’s Gaspe Peninsula to once again run La Riviere Bonaventure.
Enjoy one rapid, that lasts 6 days!… crystal-clear drinkable water, no mosquitoes, breathtaking mountain scenery. This is how the rivers must be in heaven. The Bonaventure has a reputation among canoeists as one the most stunningly beautiful rivers in Eastern North America. From its source high in Chic-Choc Mountains, the Bonaventure runs clean and crystal-clear towards the Baie des Chaleurs. After a bit of whitewater instruction, we’ll be able to run the rapids in open canoes; long stretches of downhill C I-II rapids are run each day.
Everything was delightful !
I would be terribly remiss if I didn't let you know what a truly wonderful time Bill and I had on our Missinaibi River Trip. Everything was delightful - the beautiful river, the soul-refreshing serenity of the wilderness, our three highly competent, fun and caring guides Meredith, Ian and Bethany (who ultimately made us all feel bonded like family), the fabulous food, the trip the the Cree Village at Moose Factory, Michael and the trip to James Bay and finally the train ride from Hell on the Polar Bear Express. The latter definitely gave us an unexpected adventure that added some final spice to the the mix. I'm telling all my friends about what a great once-in-a-lifetime experience it was. In some ways it feels like I dreamed it now that I am home and dealing with all the day-to-day stuff again, but I have the pictures to prove it was real and the memories to cherish. Thank you so much for blessing our lives in such an unforgettable way.
