"Live comfortably in the wilderness, enjoying pristine scenery, gourmet meals and a safe and fun voyage."

Chiniguchi – Sturgeon River Loop – 14-16 yr old / Co-Ed

Temagami is a vast swath of land, nearly 2000 square kilometres, in Northern Ontario. As far as protected areas go, this region is a unique blend of Provincial Parks, Conservation area, and crown land. We will travel through the Chiniguchi Waterway Provincial Park, the Wolf Lake Old Growth Forest – Forest Reserve (home to the world’s largest stand of old growth Red Pine), and the Sturgeon River Provincial Park. While this area is protected from forestry, there is still the threat of mining that haunts this unique ecosystem. Come travel through this wondrous landscape of old growth forest and show your support by visiting the Save Wolf Lake website.

The Sturgeon River is sometimes called the “Big Sister” of the Spanish River because of the large number of fun Class I and II rapids. Participants will learn whitewater paddling strokes, maneuvers, and mostly importantly how to navigate these rapids in a safe and fun manner.

Join us this summer for an epic adventure!
