
Classic Canadian Shield, with towering Red and White Pines, large lakes and small rivers, and plenty of wildlife make this area just south of Algonquin Park a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. Participants will have to opportunity to navigate a variety of lakes, and streams, portage gear and canoes, and cook over a fire.
This route is the perfect blend of challenge and excitement for participants undertaking their first Adventurous Journey with the the Award. Learning to paddle pristine waters, baking on an open fire, and learning about back country canoe tripping are just some of the skills participants can expect to take part in when they embark on this journey.

Passionate about the Wilderness
Both guides were very passionate about the wilderness and about making the trip enjoyable for all of us. They were clearly knowledgeable about all aspects of the trip and executed everything to a tee...the leadership, the training of the clients, attention to safety measure, food preparation and respect for and care of the environment.
