Guide
As a wilderness canoe trip guide, Naomi blends a lifetime of outdoor adventure with a passion for social service. Growing up in eastern Ontario she was introduced to the wonders of rivers and lakes at an early age, embarking on predominately whitewater canoe trips with her family any chance she could get. These formative experiences instilled in her a profound appreciation for the outdoors and a desire to share that love with others. Whether navigating remote rivers or the rivers of her backyard, Naomi brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every excursion.
Naomi is an avid skier, having spent several winters on the powdery slopes of British Columbia. This passion for the river has led Naomi to finding a variety of work along the rivers such as her many summers as a raft guide on the renowned Ottawa River, these days she can often be found in her kayak around the Ottawa and Madawaska Valleys.
Currently, during the off season, Naomi can be found studying social work through an Anishinaabeg lens, aiming to merge her dedication to community service with her love of the outdoors. With her heart firmly rooted in both realms, she strives to foster connections between people and nature, weaving together cultural understanding and environmental stewardship in her guiding endeavors.
