Adventure Overview
The Bloodvein River (Miskwewesibi) flows into the East side of Lake Winnipeg through Atikaki Provincial Park on Treaty No. 5 Territory. This 12-day 200+km trip will take you down Manitoba’s first Canadian Heritage River in the heart of the dual UNESCO World Heritage Site Pimachiowin Aki “The Land That Gives Life”
Experience the breathtaking wilderness of Northern Manitoba as you fly into Artery Lake and embark on an unforgettable paddling journey down the Bloodvein River. This pristine river, renowned for its stunning landscapes and rich cultural significance, meanders through dense forests and rugged terrain, offering both challenging rapids and serene stretches. Your adventure culminates just upstream of Bloodvein River First Nation on the East Side highway where you will be shuttled back to Bissett.
