Adventure Overview

The Spanish River winds 340km from two sources – Biscotasi Lake forming the West Branch, and Duke Lake forming the East Branch. The two branches meet at “The Forks” before flowing south into Lake Huron. With its rich natural and cultural history, the Spanish River is now protected as a Provincial Park and enjoyed primarily by recreational paddlers.

Our adventure begins with a train ride into Spanish River Provincial Park. We disembark at “The Forks” and set off downstream, spending the next 7 days paddling more than 100km of fun and family friendly whitewater. Along the way, our experienced guides will provide instruction to help you build confidence and skill on the river.

This trip is ideal for anyone looking to challenge themselves with whitewater, and spend some real quality time with family. Enjoy dark blue waters, swim in gentle current, cast a fishing line, and take in the rugged beauty of the Canadian Shield. You might even spot a moose along the way!

We acknowledge that the Spanish River flows through the traditional territories of the Anishinabek and Mississauga Nations and is recognized under Robinson-Huron (Treaty 61, 1850) Treaties.  We recognize that we are visitors to this land.
